Your protection in case of illness or accident

Have you been planning your skiing or snowboarding course for a long time and can hardly wait to get started? It’s all the more annoying when illness or an accident gets in the way just before you set off. That’s exactly why we offer course protection – so that you don’t have to bear the entire cost yourself in an emergency.

Course protection benefits

Withdrawal before the course begins

If you are unable to participate due to illness or injury, you have two options:

We will rebook you onto another course within the same season free of charge. The amount you have already paid will be credited in full. Unfortunately, it is not possible to postpone to the following year.
Would you rather cancel? No problem – we will refund 75% of the course price. If you have only insured part of your booking, the refund will be calculated proportionally, according to the ratio of the protected amount to the total price of your booking.

Course discontinuation – what next?

If you have to interrupt the course prematurely due to illness or accident, you will of course remain covered. For each day of the course that you are unable to attend, we will refund 75% of the daily price. This is calculated from the total price of your course divided by the number of course days. If you have only protect part of your booking, the refund will be calculated proportionally, according to the ratio of the protected amount to the total price of your booking. Unfortunately, it is not possible to make up for individual appointments, as your driving skills may no longer match the level of another group.

Example – rebooking and cancellation

You have booked our Saturday course, but you fall ill before the first session. Now you have two options:

Option 1 – Rebooking
We will rebook you onto another course within the same season free of charge. The course fee you have already paid will be credited in full.

Option 2 – Cancellation:
Don’t want to rebook? No problem, we will refund 75% of the course price. If you have only protect part of your booking, the refund will be proportional to the ratio of the protected amount to the total price of your booking.

Sample calculation for option 2 Cancellation:

You have fully secured your course:

- - - - Course (4 days for adults) = €420
        You protect €500 – full coverage
        Refund for cancellation before the course begins: €420 × 75% = €315

You have only partially secured your course:

- - - - Course (4 days for adults) = €420
        You protct €300 – partial coverage – which is approximately 71.4% of the total price.
        Refund for cancellation before the course begins: €300 × 71.4% × 75% = €160.70

Example – partial reimbursement

You book our 4-day Saturday course and fall ill on the fourth day:

We will refund 75% of the course price for the unused course days. If you have only protected part of your booking, the refund will be proportional to the ratio of the protected amount to the total price of your booking.

Sample calculation:

You have fully secured your course:

- - - - Course (4 days for adults) = €420
        You protect €500 – full coverage
        Price per course day: €420 ÷ 4 days = €105/day
        You are absent for one day
        Refund per cancelled course day: €105 × 75% = €78.75

You have partially secured your course:

- - - - Course (4 days for adults) = €420
        You protect €300 – partial coverage – which is approximately 71.4% of the total price.
        Proportional price per course day: €300 × 71.4% ÷ 4 days = €53.60/day
        You are absent for one day
        Reimbursement per cancelled course day: €53.60 × 75% = €40.20

Secure borrowed equipment

If you use rental equipment for your course, you can easily include this in your cover. To do so, simply select the total amount of your booking – i.e. course fee plus rental equipment – as the protected total amount.

If you do not start the course or drop out early, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the rental equipment, just as you would for the course itself.

Fee for protection

The fee for protection is based on the total value of your booking. Prices are always per person and per course.

Only partially secured amount

If you have not secured the entire amount of your course booking (course + rental equipment), your cover will only be partial.
Reimbursement will then be made on a pro rata basis, in line with the ratio of the protected amount to the total price of the course.

Example 1 – partially secured:

- Course + equipment hire (4 days, child) Total price = €458.60
- You only protect €300 – partial coverage – which is about 65.4% of the total price
- Refund for cancellation before the course begins: €300 (covered amount) × 65.4% × 75% = €147.20

Example 2 – fully secured:

- Course + equipment hire (4 days, child) Total price = €458.60
- You protect €500 – full coverage
- Refund for cancellation before the course begins: €458.60 (total course price) × 75% = €343.95

When you can take out course protection

You can take out course protection directly when you book – but no later than 30 days before the course starts.

If there are less than 30 days between booking the course and the start of the course, the course protection must be taken out immediately upon booking. It is not possible to book it at a later date.
